My second shoot with my new camera, and boy do I need to learn more aboutĀ focusingĀ on images. Still came out pretty nice though, I look forward to the next shoot.

First Day with the Nikon D1H

I spent a lot of time picking out what camera I wanted, and got the best camera I could imagine! The Nikon D1H is certainly old school, in 2001 it was valued at $4,500 bucks! Now, you can Ebay one for $250, or trade your guitar on Kijiji like I did! While it’s only ~3 megapixels, it’s certainly enough for the internet at a resolution of 2000px. It’s a DREAM camera, I can’t believe how excellent it is in all regards.

Here’s the result of my first trip with my girl friend, Acacia Long! Check out here website at AcaciaLong.ca

Walking my Dog, Kodi

This is from my very first day with a professional level camera. Many thanks to the wifey’s friend, for letting me borrow it, and figure out what’s what – before I make a $2000 purchase! I think it went very well, and have some very fond memories that I’ll never forget!

Tamworth Hockey Game

So, it’s my first day with a camera. After a quick lesson from my girl friends’ friend, I was pretty much ready to go. We had her little sisters hockey game to attend, so I figured I’d bring the camera. I took about 200, and only ended with up a handful of photos. I’m pretty sure that’s how it goes, click, click, click!

About Solar Bikes

My interest started in Electronic Bikes after I worked on a few old motorcycles. They were very difficult to work on, and were very messy. A few of the components seemed really weird, and could have been more simple, but I’m no Honda Engineer. I had gone and tried one of those little moped bikes, but they were no where near exciting or practical.

I found a used electronic bike on Kijiji, it would normally sell for $1000, I got it for $300 – not a bad deal, even though a battery was blown. As soon as I got on, I knew that there was something to this whole electronic bicycle thing. I rode it strait home, it was about 15 KM. The battery was dead when I got home, but I was impressed with how far it could go.

I Can Do Better

A day later, I thought “Man this is a great bike, but it doesn’t go up hill by itself, I have to peddle. The battery doesn’t last very long. I can do better”. So I did. I got in touch with a Chinese company, and built a kit from parts a few of them had. I spliced my pre-existing bike together with the kit I had ordered. The results were amazing (they’re listed above in the tech specs).

Now I sell Them

Please visit my other website, www.QuantumCycle.ca – here you can purchase full kits that can be installed in just under two hours.
